SAVE THE DATE - First Year TA Training (FYTAT) 2026

First Year TA Training is a required component of Graduate Orientation and fulfills Caltech's teaching assistant training requirement. Whether or not you plan to serve as a TA, the program provides valuable professional development in teaching, mentoring, and communication skills that are broadly applicable in academic and professional environments.

All incoming graduate students will complete both the online and in-person components of the training. The CTLO will send full details by email no later than September 1.
